Orange Prize for Fiction



Orange Prize [The Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction (previously called Women's Prize for Fiction (2013), Orange Prize for Fiction (2008–12) and Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction (1996–2008)] – jedna z najbardziej prestiżowych brytyjskich nagród literackich przyznawana corocznie za powieść anglojęzyczną z ostaniego roku, opublikowaną przez kobietę bez względu na jej obywatelstwo. Zwyciężczyni otrzymuje w nagrodę czek na 30000£ oraz, wykonaną przez artystkę Grizel Nivel, rzeźbę z brązu nazywaną "Bessie".

  1. Zadie Smith rządzi, bilans dodatni -wszystkie powieści nominowane i jedna wygrana.
    Atwood też jest niezła.
    I jeszcze Mantel.
    Trudno za to uwierzyć, że pominięto Oates i jej "Blondynkę".

    1. Niestety Oates nigdy nie zdobyła Orange Prize, ani też np. Nagrody Pulitzera, chociaż była nominowana, ale na krótkiej liście się już nie znalazła. "Blondynka" nie zdobyła żadnej nagrody, przynajmniej tak to wygląda w Wikipedii.
